Neighbourhood Development Plan goes to Examination

The Regulation 16 consultation concluded earlier this month, and we have just been informed that our Plan has been approved to progress to the Examination stage.

Herefordshire Council will arrange for an examination of the Plan and supply the relevant documents to an Independent Examiner who will consider our Plan and produce a report with recommendations, reasons and a summary of findings. Some additional information may be requested directly from us. The Examiner will then recommend whether the plan should move to a Referendum - either directly or following some minor amendments - or should be refused. A Plan cannot be recommended to proceed to referendum if it does not meet the basic conditions required. The examination period should take approximately six – ten weeks.

Information and copies of the Plan documents are available to view on the NDP website: http://weobleyndp.weebly.com

Gadbridge Road Development

This planning application for 40 homes along Gadbridge Road has now been approved by the Herefordshire Council's Planning Committee. Final approval has yet to be signed off as final adjustments are being made to the Section 106 agreement.

Work has started on the site although the first visit which reduced the hedge left lots of debris lying across the road and pavement and the second visit resulted in large amounts of mud being laid on the road.

The Parish Council is in regular liaison with Freemans and will continue to monitor the development.
